I have absolutely no idea about potatoes and when they are ready etc. I do love new potatoes though, and so today dug up some reds, blues and whites and had a wonderful potatoe salad with dinner...

Looks like over-watering may be the culprit......but I've finally managed to identify the scapes......so at least I'll get somehing out of the plants even if they don't form proper...

Still no flowers on spuds!
Been and gone and 'done' it! Dug about 5 plants up ... couldn't wait ... just like a kid at Christmas .... and there are some decent size spuds and some marbles ... Neverthless, even as I type...

Its funny that but most of the stuff we grow and think of as new as indeed been grown in the past, if not in the uk somewhere in Europe, he even taught me to grow squash and carrots between them...

Well there's a scorched relief (releaf?? lol). First year I haven't used the green shade netting so that will be going up soon! Was trying out just using bubble wrap but it loks as though its not...
