I didn't know until this year that Strawberry plants last, i thought that you needed new every year (I've a lot to learn!) My s-i-l kept hers and they have come back bigger and better than last...

Best Tomato Crop Ever
Worth the effort to make tom chutney, I started a partially filled jar the other day and it is really, really nice. Just four jars left to last the winter.That will be difficult! robert

they are peppers pam and I did find a ripe cayenne one hiding! we had them for dinner this evening

I really agree with that statement, i spend hours going round picking a leaf here dead heading there, and then you look at someone elses garden ,who never seems to do anything ,its a struggle for...

Just made two jars of apple and elderberry jam from the fruit in my garden!I should explain - the trees seem to have been there for donkey's years, and until I came the apples just fell off...

Depends on how many you have got, they will come to no harm in the soil unless the slugs find them, also any too near the surface might get green (and should not be eaten as they are poisionous...

Unfortunately even organic farmers can use sprays. The Soil Association allows organic potato producers to use specified sprays against blight :(

Secret squirrel freezes them whole in plastic bags - stops them getting freezer burn.Remove from freezer one at a time, slice while still frozen and use them as you like.
