Improving soil for carrots?
Because my carrots were a disaster last year I thought a raised bed is a good idea, now the seeds have germinated I am sure I have done the right thing. I will put some pics on soon.

Best Fruit/Veg to Plant in Containers?
There are a lovely little carrot variety called Parmex, they are little globes which grow really well in containers - I'm growing some in containers round the side of the house this year

How to Dry out Peppers and Chillis
Same here Pete, I always use seed from supermarket peppers and Chilli seeds come from chillis that have been in the freezer for months and germinate OK. They are not as perfect as the shop ones...

Rosie, I`ve never heard of strawberries being treated to fruit early. The plants you get from the garden centre shoudl produce some fruit this year, with a bigger yield next year and the year after.
