Autumn fruiting raspberries fruit on the new growth. Prune after they have fruited - mine are now due for pruning. Leave the new shoots - you will get your fruit on these canes next year.

Can't help you on the Summer variety's all I can say is they are pruned differently, I didn't fancy growing summer varietys because the increased chance of maggots being in the fruit

Ripening peppers using a lamp?
In many instances, it will depend on just how close the Peppers are to ripening naturally - some just need a nudge so the table by the window would suffice.

Am I late to sow runner beans?

Dont quite understand that statement DR.
Grafted trees are more likely to come up with the goods and I'm guessing if you bought an almond tree at any nursery it will probably be grafted.
