If it was a grafted plant the new growth might well be Poncirus trifoliata.Its a totally hardy rootstock that a lot of citrus are grafted onto.A picture would help.

Tomato cuttings - Is letting them put roots in water before planting a waste of time?
Thanks, I will give it a try then. I just planted in pots 20 or so cuttings and put them in one mini greenhouse, sheltered from direct light. Fingers crossed at least some will make it!

Can strawberries be moved
I could do but was frightened to harm all those lovely Red Worms. I dig out the nest and laid it on the path and picked out the Worms & put them back in the bin.
