Cool but frost free is good, you don't want them getting leggy before planting them out, which you don't want to do before the frost period is over in your zone.

One or two suppliers are now offering (claimed) 'Blight Proof' plants. Quite pricey and not sure if they are actually 'Blight Proof'. Best bet is Bordeaux Mixture
