    Would it not be possible Sherry to have proper grass and employ someone to keep it cut for you? It might possibly work out cheaper, less hassle, and a bit more natural looking. :)

    How can I hide a long pipe?

    Tetters took my words.....the low wide spreading junipers are my choice. I used them to hide a septic tank cover for a friend of mine. Access is still easy I would also add hardy geraniums...

    If the gardens fall is to the rear of the run, then I would just place your water butt where you want it , but fit a large diameter overflow pipe and lay a pipe down towards the rear of the garden...
