Redstar,it is near the South Coast in Dorset as is Compton Acres.

Looks much better than it used to must pop along as its just up the road from me we used to live 2mins from there.

just looked on web for this place and it states it going through a transformation change due to been neglected for over 25 years, so with what you have said dont know what they have been doing in 4 years of improvements, sounds like very little, looks nice on the website see they have a lovely...

Fancy that Vineman! Small world! Would be interested to hear what you think/thought of the place. Some ppl who love it in Spring and early summer find it a bit 'wild' in late summer.

Superb gardens! Thanks for sharing the great photographs with us. Wonderful use of Alchemilla to soften the edges of one of the pathways, now, if only I can do the same with mineâ?¦ perhaps a little coaxing will control it and make it go where I want it to.:hehe:

Have been to the garden a few times now, it's great to see where plants actually come from and Tom's a real character really passionate about plants,fab:gnthb:

I've heard Hampton Court Flower Show is much better...and you can buy things there too. No faffing about getting into Central London either.

If you are talking about the gardens in Matlock, Derbyshire...I've heard they are pretty good too!Also have you tried the Herb Garden at Hardwick Hall?? It is stunning! I was really hoping to poach some rosemary, but clearly they knew everyone would love to do that on a sunday for their lamb...
