I'm sure........i cant wait to come over for a visit!!:D We almost came over this August:WINK1:, but we decided to gut the bathroom and add a new deck on the house :yess::yess:

We went there about 5 years ago, it is very unusual and a took a little time finding our way out again.

Ive competed on Cleveland Lake before Pal, which is probably somewhere near you. They're hosting a regatta or two later in the summer, so I may fetch up with a few posh burly rowers! And them's just the girls. Two quick question, do have room for 8 seater boats and will you put on sausages?! :D

i love edinburgh botanical gardens , magical , wandered around the whole day with my youngest it was pure heaven would love to see that flower but not to be maybe in another life time

Maybe not quite everywhere but but there are lots of parks and plants. Many verges at the edge of the roads are tended or have wild flowers growing, a very beautiful island.

That's a great help to me as too when I go later this year. I'll probably stay in the area for a week so that I can see all the other gardens at a leisurely pace.

Many of the tree ferns are self sporn, its a real treasure of a garden, and still very original so no tea rooms or concrete paths, unfortunetly that also means its not at all suitable for disabled visitors.

I lived in Edinburgh for two years - beautiful city but so cold and windy in winter! The Botanic Gardens are lovely, I lived round the corner in Stockbridge and would often go for a wander round them on my days off. Enjoy
