Perlite vs. vermiculite- pros and cons?
Vermiculite for seed sowing (baggy method) and mpc/perlite/vermiculite mix for growing on seedlings as it is easier to seperate. Vermiculite in most potted plants. Sharp sand were needed.

Start onions and spuds early in greenhouse
That's @Zigs onions thay he's got on the go.I find red onion onion sets so prone to bolting that I wouldn't try growing more than a few in a non traditional way.
