Marigold - Germination
I had some Marigold seed pods lying on the ground last year and they started to germinate before the frost hit them. From the pods I did collect and store very few have germinated.

Moving a tradescantia
I have several of these. and they are so very tough. However, in my area now they are just emerging. I want to see them flower in place etc. If I were to move them out it would be in the fall.

I can't imagine this technique makes any measurable difference if it did then farmers would use it. My father used to grow 40 acres of maincrop and the extra work of peeling off the rose end off...
