I almost missed it.When i took out all of last yrs bulbs for the grass i had forgotten about this in one corner as it didn`t show through until after everything else was out and in buckets.I know...

Thanks, David for your input.There is nothing humid about Algarve, we are very dry (even in rain season) so, unfortunately, I have now decided NOT to buy it ... other than the fact t'other half...

Hmmmmmmm, interesting. I've got some astrantia seeds, so perhaps I'll put them into the fridge for a while then, and plant them into pots in July. I do like them, and have a clump of Roma that...

Advise on planting
A shrub that will do well is Aucuba Japonica which seems to grow well anywhere. Also try the BBC plantfinder site. Just put in the conditions etc and it will come up with a selection of plants...

Funny things Tulips. I heard somewhere that the stripy colouring is in fact caused by a virus, something like fireblight or similar name, which was actively encouraged by the Dutch Tulip breeders....

I'm not very well up on tree peonies, but,if its a grafted plant it should flower pretty quickly, thats if they still graft them. If its a seedling it might take a bit longer but I would guess...
