Thank you I forgot I've got some horticultural soap so could I just have used that instead maybe with some liquid seaweed?I also plan to use it to prevent powdery mildew and the like.If it's not going to do anything more than the concoction I could make myself then I'll cancel it.

Hello, U need doxstar, its expensive stuff but well worth it, if u know any local farmers they may well give you some, roundup will kill grass too but doxstar will only kill docks

Its a bit of a perfect storm that has caused my issue to be honest - firstly cash-flow problems which has meant a lack of funds for compost to get stuff sown and brought on, the weather remaining chilly a lot longer than I expected also slowed me down at sowing stage, and then more latterly...

I've always thought that if you disturb a nesting bird it wouldn't go back to that nest, i know it illegal to disturd nesting birds but it doesn't stop people shooting them

It's the thicker rhizomes that can sprout so you need to get those out, the fibrous roots are not so bad.

I think you are meant to nip off any flowers in their first year so they grow better and flower better the next year.( i dont follow that rule myself ) I would be putting some straw (keep dry)around the young plants in winter. My plants have frozen in winter and recovered well in spring.

I have a spreading one too, given to me as a cutting. Think it needs to hang over a raised bed or small wall to really work though (still in pot at present).I wouldn't say I have greenhouse space but I am addicted to propagation!

Gazanias need full sun. Phacelia Campanularias also know as the desert bluebell , guess what full sun again ! Like everyone all your planting areas are not facing south into full sun . So you have to bend the advice a little .

I would cut the flower off so the cutting puts its energy into putting out roots.
