HI gardenlearner, I find the cost of the plants are quite competative compared to some garden centres I have been to, although I do find that There isn't much variety year after year, always the same plantsregards

Has anyone used one of these hi-lo pulley type devices for their hanging baskets? http://www.ferndale-lodge.co.uk/pd_568277.htm I'm thinking of getting some as my brackets are quite high and I really struggle to water and dead head my baskets but wonder whether they work ok and are sturdy enough.

Hi Colint I allways peg some polythene or plastic sheeting over mine it gives it a good start.

Hi Pat I have a quite a few grasses and although it does state with some of them to give them a little chop back (although not right down to the roots lol)in spring I have left mine and none of them seem any worst because of it.All your new growth will replace and covered up the old stuff but...
