A very sunny day here. I have been potting up my verbinia and catching the first of the horsetails. And the Lobelia Victoria seeds are sprouting Hooray! The mystery seeds are also doing quite well and will need pricking out soon. It's all go!

Depends on how large an area it is, if its a small lawn then a spring tine rake will be fine but for an averadge to large lawn its seriusly hard work and less eficent than a proper scarifier.Incidentally, the HSS petrol machine is excelent and before buying one I used to regularly hire one...

I understand you can eat the little blue flowers - presumably, one you've washed 'em! Scatter them in your salads. I haven't tried it myself yet, but my rosemary's in flower too.

Hi GL. When you first plant you should water in well. And possibly for a couple of weeks. Then I personally just water when they look like they need it. It depends on the temperature, the soil type and of course the plant. Once plants are established they need less water.Love your bush but...

I have often heard people refer to bulbs as "blown" meaning that they no longer flower. How long does it take for this to happen? Can it be prevented or is it just a case of replacing bulbs from time to time?

My Persea Americana aka the humble Avocado has blooms on it ... I don't think I'll get fruit though as I believe it needs a male and female tree. I have two distinct stems coming from the stone but I don't think same sex will work. :rolleyes:
