Yes it is lovely here, thanks Hans. I've lived here 21 years. TT was perfect this year with the weather staying fine throughout and MGP starts in three weeks. Unfortunately I live on the course, so it makes life a little difficult for moving around at these times.

First blooms on my Nicotiana glauca. Stands about 2.5metres tall at the moment so not the best photo........................It will form a nice large shrub/small tree in time with these glaucous leaves......................Aloe...

This rain we have been having should help with the recovery.

Mention Caterpillars and I usually react quite positively a bit of squishing springs to mind. Anything other than the cabbage white is often given a chance just to see what happens especially if there is just one or two of them.

Thanks. I look forward to receiving that. A small storm arrived early this morning, about 6AM. It was just a bit of light rain by 7AM. No thunder in it though. Although we did get some thunder yesterday just after I lit the barbie.

Cerinthe should be safe in a cold frame/greenhouse if you have any of them.That sounds like a half decent plan for the Arisaema. I did a similar thing this spring with some Lachenalia species seed expecting the usual crap summer - it's been a battle keeping them going these last few weeks!
