Two huge Buxus spirals in planters, need help please!

WHICH ASPECT OF GARDENING DO YOU FIND MOST REWARDING?
Thanks for asking but you are welcome to address me in any way you wish. My staff quite often used "Oy You!"
'Your Highness' is also an acceptable appellation.

Camellia - dead or alive?
IME Camellias don't re-generate well, if at all, once their leaves have browned. Try scraping the bark, as Janet suggests, but I think it's a lost cause.

Do you love it? Do you loathe it? Do you care?
I'm intrigued....what are these pets that are supposed to be trodden on? Chihuahua spring to mind but whenever I did, the owners got inexplicably upset

Hamsters? No....much too squishy. Perhaps tortoises in the dormant state? They'd make excellent stepping stones in a Japanese garden....

Can anyone deliver my dahlias from a fate worse than limbo?
I dont know, but they seem to last ages on the plant, unlike Dahlias that start dropping petals . LaO will probably be able to tell you.
