im not sure. But if u take a small knife and cut a shoot with a nice bit of root attached then it may work. Even just put straight in the ground!! i did that with some ornamental grass.

Simple ideas for a novice
I would be tempted to look into some of the tougher shrubs, and leave the delicates until the footballs have passed. Maybe go for a more cottage look in the front garden?

Just had a quick look at the seeds I planted yesterday and the cabbages are sprouting already! Not bad in 18 hours??? :D
