No it grows well anywhere I think. I had a large bush in my front garden for years, it grows pretty fast though, and needs clipping, not a nice job. Hence, its not there now. Can be a fire risk,...

My experience is protect the plants trees well. Remember to inspect regularly to make sure plant not being strangled by what ever you use. Cats also help

Sue, that's how my lilac originated from a growth out from the bottom of my neighbours tree. So have a go as long as you can get it out with some root on should do ok.

I got a new garden bench
What a beauty! Very posh.Can't quite make out the design in the centre of the backrest - looks a bit like Britannia!I can visualize this with two stainless steel square planters on each end...
