You can fit a regular Hoselock push-connector to leaky hose, so at its most basic you could push the hose into one, turn it on and leave it for X minutes, then move the hose to the next ... and so on.More sophisticated than that ("Lockdown is done, I'm going abroad for a fortnight ...") would...

I normally give a dressing of fish blood and bone before planting. I'd like manure but difficult to get hold of enough.

Thanks, I'll look into all those. I think the biggest challenge is what is available at the moment. The ones I've grown from seed (very proud! ) are going to be ready soon, especially the dahlias but I'm a concerned about putting them out too early but I'm not sure they can hang on until May.

Time to move my plants to Big School . Started all my seeds in my Sittootery/Conservatory but now time to move to Big School( Greenhouse) Nice to get my Sittootery for all my Orchids again.

Hi. I had to prune a grapevine yesterday as it was stopping a sun canopy from opening. I know this isn't the best time of year but it had to be done. It's an ornamental vine over the decking for shade. Obviously it's now bleeding. Has anyone any advice on how to stop it? The branch of the vine...

This used to be my glass cleaner bottle so when it was finished .I washed out the bottle and filled with water and now its a spray bottle for the greenhouse.

Yeah not too expensive as I got a good price on them... but cost / expense is relative.others have come on since watering more... 2 are going full yellow in the leaf and the ground is too wet which suggests they have wet feet so I’ve stopped watering them and improved the drainage -hopefully...

There's probably a mature Ash tree in a neighbour's garden. Allthough not in leaf at the moment they are currently producing tufts of reddish flowers at the moment which will readyly distinguish them from Sycamores.Unless you hunt them down, Ash seedlings hide amongst/behind other plants until...

Hi Kristen. Thanks for the info. that's very helpful. As you say Lavender is nice but it can be a bit unruly. I'm waiting for a soil testing kit to arrive and ultimately that may make my mind up. Thanks Barry.
