    Yes - thank you both. I've just sowed parsnip seed with a row of radish in between to remember where the parsnips are!! So I'll check about once a week - fingers x'd!

    Which grasses would you choose?

    I have sent for hares Tail which looks a bit like your photo. Lets hope they all put on a good show. i was thinking of putting Cosmos Chocolate inbetween. i think I saw it once at a show.

    Not tried that one, but regarding the flowering time, bear in mind Daves Garden is an American site and may have been sown in better a climate than ours and flowered earlier. Give it a try.

    Fuschias are also quite useful in pots with some of Peter's reccomendations. I also use a mix of Perennial grasses and Cannas with the more tender plants - do not appear to need as much water but...
