Cuttings are very easy, and I think this is the normal way. My book on propagation says August and September, but there is a specialist nursery close to me that does a lot and I think they take them about now or a bit later. Division isn't mentioned as a means of propagation.

Yep, we used to grow broad beans and cress. We did the thing with dye as well to show how the water was taken up into the roots and then into the leaves.I remember how delighted I was when my brodd bean flowered. I'd never realised that you could get black and white flowers.

Dig them out - you'll have to loosen the soil anyway if you are going to sow/plant wild flowers.
