Hi Belinda and welcome, as Walnut says, it is a mould that usually grows on composting organic material, have you used manure on the garden this year? That is the usual culprit, I wouldn`t worry too much about it as it is part and parcel of the natural decaying process. David.

sorry no can do theres a lot of people avin trouble with rabbits so im keeping mine trained in the corner where i can keep an eye on him . my arm aches after a bit but it keeps him off the plants :D

Could use clematis armandii its evergreen and has nice smelling white flowers in spring, or a passion flower which is semi-evergreen depending how frosty the winter is, and has lovely blue flowers all summer and autumn.
