Pomegranate is fast in the right conditions, lemon is a bit slower, tends to grow in stages and takes a rest in between.

A Dying Ceanothus...
My 20ft high ceanothus tree has given up the ghost this year. As pete says, they are not usually very long-lived and most varieties only last about 10 years.
