Hi everyone; Two years ago I bought a young Garrya eliptica (tassel Bush)from our local garden centre, but because it was only 1ft tall I pruned all the fruiting tassels off in order to divert its energies into growth instead of flowering with the tassels but now it has reached a decent height...

This lawn looks to have had some quite decent fine leaved grass sown initially. Looking at the pictures I would stop raking and give it a mow. A lot of what looks dead, isnt. Give the lawn a liquid feed every two weeks to green it up and see what you have at the end of the season. When th...

Try old fashioned lawn sand. apply in the autumn and it rests on all braod leaves and should kill them.

I read the same in the current issue of " Grow your own veg " magazine !

Wire brush will remove most of them.

Having had Acanthus in my garden for a few years have now vowed never to plant again. Mine will seed itself every year and if you do not get the young plants out immediately the roots are well away. They can also suffer from mildeew and in real terms although they are wonderful architectural...
