Just follow the instructions, maybe a tomato feed while the fruit is forming, but yes, dont overfeed, its not good.

It certainly does and puts you on a much fairer footing compared to us lot that sell at the garden gate - not that we actually have a garden gate!

hi all any advice please. my alderman pea plants are nearly at the top of my trellis and netting approx 5 foot, can i pinch out the top so they dont get too overgrown and tangled, also with this encourage them to bush out more and flower further down the plant. look forward to your replies

It all depends on how the posts have been put into the ground, the lattice looks like it can be pulled down but nothing a hammer couldn't do, a good handsaw would do for the arbour, cut off the top rails first then the posts at ground level, if the posts have been set in concrete you may want to...

@CarolineL Salvias, heucheras, geraniums and hemerocallis all have so many very similar varieties; maybe that's one reason why I like species, I can generally tell the difference between them.

If it was a person the minister would be present.
