Will they live?
Thanks everyone! I transplanted out of the garden and into the pot earlier in the spring, I think the damage was already done and alas I have retired them to the bin :-(. I'll try again next year!

Advice on tidying up geraniums and this other fella
Best to tidy Salvia Hot Lips early spring. You can cut them back anytime really, if you did it now you would lose flowers but it regrows very quickly, it is a bit of a thug.
