Pruning a crab apple tree.
I have inherited what I'm told is a crab apple tree. From my view I would say it could benefit with a pruning. Would I be right? And if so, just where would I start with this tree?

To me it looks like there is a liverwort and some moss in the photos. I usually leave them grow away without interfering as they need damp to continue growing and without the same type of root...
