If you do as @pete says , a bit of a clean up and mulch now, then plenty of water and feed from spring onwards , would expect the top growth to be several feet high by the end of the year.The existing root system still thinks its as tall as it was and they soon grow back to the original size.

It's good that it can also flower further down - otherwise you would get a crick in your neck from trying to see the flowers up so high!

@Buzyizze21 All the above mentioned bulbs are well prepared to flower & grow in a shaded area so if you get some of those above they will do very well for a couple of months or three!
