I have heard of cooking and eating small whole pods. but never tried it. I like mine as small to medium size beans before they get too big and pld to have tough skins although I have heard of people skinning them, you can also puree larger beans after cooking and removing skins.

Thank you, I have learnt a thing or two this morning. Considering that the plant was bought as part of heavily discounted 3- pack "lucky dip" (one dead, another ugly and this one) it is earning its keep. I'll chop it well down next spring and see what happens.

Did you re-pot it this spring?It's indeed normal for the lower leaves to die when the plant grows but I have seen happier Monsteras.One quick help is to give the plant either a weekly shower or daily misting, or both. Monsteras like high humidity. Dilute liquid seaweed in the misting spray...
