Soil depth for wildflower planting
Where I used to live in Wales there was a Rowan Tree growing on top of a Telegraph pole. The only soil up there was wind blown slate dust and bird droppings

Wildlife and wild flower advice.
I can recommend the bee book that JJ mentions......mine fell apart too and is now stuck together with cellotape. Father Christmas also brought mine last Xmas.

Wolfsbaine question !!!!
Hello ...anybody out there tell me if Wolfsbaine will exist ok in pots... I really want to grow some but have two dogs and so don't want to put them in the actual garden areas where they could...

Storing my herbs
You can get 'rings' that are suspended from a hook specially for the purpose of drying herbs. You attach them in bunches to dry out and store - I have mine hanging in the summerhouse

Thank you so much everyone! It's difficult to keep in touch with who's who when you live on the mainland. I can always get plants delivered to my mum's, and collect from her, especially if they do...

Wildflower Identification Book
not used this one much yet, so yet to use it for real. Not sure of the best way to drill down on what I need, I guess that's key in a book like this.

I would dry the the pods out until they are brittle or split open themselves. I don't think they need a cold period, just try sowing a few clueless. Sow them in drills the same as anything else...

Wildflowers becoming extinct
Its already being done in some areas. While we were at large over the last few days I say lots of motorway verges full of flowers. Round our way they do it near some of the 'ordinary' roads...
