Female trees produce cones over here but rarely get pollinated and the seed is not fertile. My local cemetery has a good one, sheds lots of seed but I've never managed to germinate one.Its very unusual to see one around here with live branches almost to the ground.

Back when I was fit and healthy I had a garden that I was in almost every day. It was cottagy and had a magnolia and lots of flowers and I miss it to this day. So I thought I would share some photos.

Just a few from our visit to the Arboretum yesterday Very few of the Acers were turning but had their summer colours still.We stopped off at Castle Combe (used in many films including War Horse) for tea and cake on our way back to Bristol as it was less crowded than Westonbirt...

Well hubby found 2 pictures of our front lawn as it wasn't long after it got removed...it contains my dog, so sorry about that and not having a full shot of the garden but been wanting to show you how it was before the gravel. As you can see I've had many different plants even down that side...
