It never ceases to amaze me how you keep it looking so good even though you say it's not so good this year. A garden to be proud of. Well done both of you and I hope your foot heals soon, I remember how painful it can be as I chipped a bone in mine last year.

All present and correct. The pink one is Diascia Pink Queen.......Pete :thumb: The daisylike flowers both colours are Brachycome iberidifolia.....Swan River Daisy......Victoria :thumb: And the dark blue and white is of course blue Lobelia (hanging)

Thanks Pete.Having had a little Google - I understand it is almost impossible to grow from seed (shame) but there appear to be loads of places that sell plants, which are not that expensive. I think I will have to give it a go.

Thankyou very much for all your responses. I am very very proud, I feel almost grown up having my very own garden. Someone has cut my lawn for me today and it just feels so great to sit out there and see how pretty everything is. More galas over the year, will mean more flowers at nice cheap...

Marley, thanks a lot!Kedi-Gato, your Daturas bloom for only one day? Wow! Those Daturas here have their blooms lasting for three days or longer! I never knew that some Datura last that short. Interesting.I have one more thread here where I ask to identify some plants. Help is needed.

Lovely Blue Roses. I envy you that Lupin. I thought I was growing some just like that - saved seed I got from a gardening friend, but the colours have come out a very dark purple and a muddy shade of pink. They don't look very prepossessing and not at all what I was looking for. I'll leave them...
