Hi, you can actually use the rockery plants as ground cover if you wish, I use sedums like this.

Hello high kype can you maybe just cut in the middle with secatures to separate the ivy or maybe this might be enough for it not to grow.I did give a help to someone to pull it of the wall it was successful but did take a lot of time.Good luck
