    It was a perennial for me (Herbaceous), bit of a thug, weedy type plant.. fortunately easy to pull out. Dont let me put anyone off who grows them as annuals though!

    Oh, lovely, I had some Lewisias a couple of years ago but only for the one year and I lost them. Just love your volcanic rock scenario, that is really special, but also love your trough!

    Some plants just do not like the confines of a pot, I tried to grow campanula in a tub a few years ago and it did nothing, as soon as I stuck it in the ground it took off!!! Val

    In theory they should take two seasons. However, as I'm doing it the hard way there's a chance that they may bloom in less time. Reason being that I'm squeezing two seasons into twelve months...
