Lovely shot Goosegog yes I am using The Nikon D3100 at the moment,

I've had to buy a Manfrotto tripod to fit the 393 Gimbal head as my Velbon tripod wouldn't serve the purpose because I couldn't find an adapter for it. I did think about a Ball Head but there were too many negative remarks about the combination of a Bigmos and a Ball Head when I did research...

Dont use compressed or tinned air at all on your camera, you might dislodge dust but you will also add water at the same time...so canned air is a definate no no. If you must blow air into a camera use a rocket blower, dont even think of blowing with your mouth either...thats got mositure in it...

I agree about the usefulness of the 18-55 focal range (or 28-85 on full frame) as - in practical terms - it will cover you for a huge number photographic situations. Also the kit lenses are usually more than adequate in optical quality. My most used lens - by far - on my 5D is a Sigma 24-60mm...

wow thats quite a film.. impressive, the best films are the ones you don't plan It must have had some weight, but the quality was ok so who knows. The size of the pieces of food some gulls steal I wouldn't be surprised if it was a full sized camera!
