    Visiting mouse

    It looks sweet Dave, think we have a few in our shed judging by the state of the loungers in there - they must have some nice soft beds somewhere with the stuffing they stole! I don't mind them ...

I don't mind them sharing the birds' food but we now now have rats stealing it too. They used to come in from the field...

    TOO FAT

    A good reminder A, particularly when the public are encouraged to make fat balls at home. I never use fat from cooking, nearly everything we cook is in E V Olive Oil.

    Yes but I've been feeding the birds for many years and in that time there's been snow and sometimes it's even lasted for longer than a day!! :biggrin:

    when filling the bird feeder next do an alternate layers of Red Pepper spice and the nuts. The mouth of the mouse will burn from the spice, the birds are not affected. Thus the solution. Works...

    A silly question about feeding birds...

    I put out niger seeds last autumn time to attract the goldfinches no sign of any last year :sad:, but just looked out the kitchen window and there're two on the feeder and a whole flock in the hawthorn...
