    If the compost heap is in a really bad place (for you) try to find a local beekeepers group, there's plenty if you do a search in Google for your area.

    I think that would depend on the soil, it lives in very poor soil so it may be too rich.

    Helping Bees

    I am also planting bee friendly plants to try and give them a helping hand. I used to use sprays for green/black fly etc, but have stopped if natural predators don't get them I squash them myself....

    When I moved here, Pete, I discovered 4 wasp nests in our loft space. One was MAHOOSIVE!!! :gaah: Got the 'man who can' in to dispose of them and he informed me, they only 'nest' in the one spot and...
    When I moved here, Pete, I discovered 4 wasp nests in our loft space. One was MAHOOSIVE!!! :gaah: Got the 'man who can' in to dispose of them and he informed me, they only 'nest' in the one spot and are not repeat visitors. I've been very much more 'forgiving' of wasps since then :biggrin:
