Hi Pam, I do have Doves, Wood Pigeons, Starlings and the like in the garden but they're not too much of a problem. But, should they get to be, I would think string or wire attached from the top...

BIRDS! G.C. Bird Survey photos.
Apparently it nests there each year - one of the locals told me. I don't know how long they live but I guess he meant that each generation continues to nest there.
