i would imagine it is the same pair, pehaps the nest mud wasn't the right consistency to stay stuck to the wall. Hopefully they will raise a brood, there is still plenty of time as they don't...

Hi All, I have aquired a couple of 3 foot sections of a tree trunk and want to make a bird feeder and bird bath. The only way I can think of doing it is to drill into the wood and then chisel...

Collared doves nesting in little Holly tree
If the nest is quite low, a cat may have frightened them off. Doves like Wood Pigeons haven't got a lot of common sense when it comes to nest building.

Ladybirds Out and About
We've had loads of ladybirds and, earlier in the year, they congregated in their dozens on the sage we had around the garden - especially the ones that caught the sun in the evening.
