    Frog or toad?

It is or was definitely a Common Frog, it has long hind legs and toes, ear drums are prominent and as already mentioned, smooth skin. Toads can jump, my Fire Bellies can jump a foot high.

    Saving a whale

    Silently nagged!

My brother has 'Joe' the crow that sits on his kitchen window sill waiting to be fed with chips. As soon as they're put out for him he takes them off to dunk in the bird bath before eating. :)

    Chiffchaff

Thanks for the lovely picture Strongy. I have an emotional connection with the Chiffchaff, a shy secretive bird, and although he only has a two note song I never tire of it. Chris
