i usually look to the sky first..when i see the sea gulls gathering i know something is in the wind.Round here it's usually mid to late june when the ants scarper ...if my chooks are out roaming all hell breaks loose ..it's great to whatch...

When any lake becomes litter ridden it's due to bad management by the owner or Fishing Club that owns it. Once it becomes obvious that a lake is being used by Yobo's and no control is being practiced by whoever owns, despite complaints, the "proper" anglers will not fish it, which is bad new...

Got bumblebees living behind the shower in the ensuite and under the floor by the front door, never caused me a problem other than thinking a heating pump had been left on because of the low hum. Tell them if they kill the bees, we won't get any fruit in the autumn.

Hi been doing this already , my baby one that was under weight last Autumn, I even went out and bought scales to weigh it LOL ££ fed it on dog food into late November , then didnt see it again until 1st week of April so to my amazement it survived , and each one has its own particular colour...

47 Starlings of various ages are stripping my fat balls and seed, I am replenishing twice a day! Love to see I am doing something to feed the baby birds, But the noise! lolWith white one's the name is Leucism a common trait in Sturnus vulgaris.

Two seen here at Radipole RSPB reserve yesterday, there ought to be more as the reserves are humming with Reed and Sedge Warblers (and Cettis and Chiffchaffs and Whitethroats and a Savis Warbler). I think the Swift is in as much trouble as the House Martin.
