Hi well it looks like one is it a friend of "fluffY" :DSpruce

They frequent our garden but are not agressive to any of the other wildlife. They give me the impression of being gentle giants.

Haven't seen the frogs but there are 5 clumps of spawn in my pond at work, no sign of Toads but they normally spawn later than the frogs.

Yes, i feel the same, i sometimes get house martins nesting on the front of the house, and although some people don't like it for the mess, i put my geranium underneath the nest and it thrived with all that feed! Just had to clean it up now and then. LoL.

Yes, I think you are right Ziggy, but it's interesting to watch and just wondered if anyone else had seen it in action.

I think it's a possibility, Alice, that your bees while probably feeding on the rotting fruit have"gone to ground" somewhere in the area. I did have some nest in a hole under a tree at the bottom of the garden some years ago and I know the Queen, when looking for a nest, will use old mouse holes...

I found it more fun to build bird boxes myself. The kind of birds you can attract can depend on the type of box and the size of the entrance. You might get some surprises regarding tenants!
