    Yes spot on theyre creeping clovers. They're both Trifolium Repens.. To be honest the dark coloured trifolium repens purpurascens quadrifolium is one I bought from a national trust garden in northumberland, and I have seen in in one garden centre since. the one you like I got about 2 months ago from a Dobbies garden centre, and they were still there on sunday you should find them with the alpines if you have one nearby. I looked at the tag and it's labelled up as the wrong type (typical ).

    you're saying they're a good ground cover, would they tend to be invasive do you think?

    Possibily. The first year it didnt really spread any further than the pot (end of season purchase) it was in, the second year a little bigger (only 1 or two flowers), and this year a marked improvement with a heavy abundance of flowers. It's in a fairly shallow bed, and it's growing stems creep along the floor and root themselves as they wish. I'll just cut back the bits that crept a bit further than I would like at the end of the summer. Very easy to propegate though. Just snipped one of the gr
