I've never flowered alata outside, in fact I've only managed to get really good flowering once and it was a few years ago in my conservatory where its warm in winter.

Stephen, I have a couple of plants overwintering, once growth starts I could take a few cuttings, but it would be July or August by then. The name is "anastasia", not hardy but able to take quite low winter temperatures.

I was thinking og something similar for a sheltered frost free area you see :) Looks like a stunner really!

Its a good one, once established, I find most passion flowers really need one season to either fill the pot with roots or get established in the ground, its not a great climber, I find it trails better, although it does have tendrils.
Frost free would suit it well I think.
