This is the view down the right-hand side of the garden from the patio in October. In the foreground is a large bed of Persicaria affinis 'Darjeeling Red' - all from one small original plant. It loves this semi-shaded & water-retentive site and has been flowering since May. Past the seat are the last flowers of Helianthus (perennial sunflower) and below that is the arch.
