made myself useful , tidied the garage . Found 2 boxes of Mrs H clothes from when we moved here 12 years ago. Hopefully we can give them to the charity shop when she makes a decision!

 

I got as far as looking out off the window but it's been raining so I'll try to make a start on sorting my pots another day - hopefully tomorrow.

 

Finally got my ensetes dug up tonight, couldn't believe how dry the soil was when digging them up. They were heavy too, now on there sides in the GH draining water out. Must get the bedding dug up but still looking good.
I've brought 200 daffy and tulips to get in

 

Went picking sloes today and thought planting a few berries to grow my own in the future would be an idea. The bushes were crawling with various birds so the new bushes should be good news for the local birds too.

 

I just wanted to say a BIG THANK YOU to @Zigs for travelling up to my house and arriving at 8am to spend a full day helping me to lift all my plants out of the garden and re-potting them ready for a move next week. Thank you so much, for all your advice, help, the too and fro-ing from B&Q and Garden Centres to get the right pots and compost

Taking out the Pampas Grass without cutting it down was interesting and not a cut or scratch in sight

Ey, we got Pampas grass removal off to a fine art now, we can take bookings

 

Mr AB has put the holes in the tubs so tomorrow I will get them filled and get them settled... I was going to take a photo but I think I'll keep it our secret how we got them moved in one piece and still at full height Just now got to get them to the new pad

Nope..... there were 3 for us to choose from...... we just didn't know what we were looking for.... and they weren't in sight but hidden

 

My local Homebase are continuing to sell off loads of their own branded stock so went for an early trip and now have some buckets and two large bottles of all purpose garden feed for the amazing sum of 55p each, reduced from £4.99!

I've started off a hyacinth bulb in a glass vase for flowering over winter and put it somewhere dark and cool to start it off. (Never done one of these before so hope it works!)

Also picked up some loppers, winter pansies, viola, cyclamen and Spring bulbs.

The buddleja at the front of the house has grown like mad this year so have trimmed that with the new loppers and have saved some of the thicker stems and branches to dry out - and hopefully use as supports for growing things next year. (Don't know if this will work but it's worth a try!)

Haven't had the time of late to go outside and sort the garden... So the weeds have taken over completely. The rest of the day and tomorrow will be busy- making up a hanging basket, weeding like crazy, and putting cyclamen and Spring bulbs in!
