I wonder if you could give me some advise please

I've been very busy moving house and I've taken all my plants with me I've put all my roses into pots... am I best leaving them like this over the winter months or am I best to get them into the ground now ?

 

Nice and tidy @wiseowl. Is that another re-paint for the new year?

 

Have you added manure/fertiliser Woo? The soil does look nice and rich

The raised beds were only painted last August @Sheal

 

I know @"M". But we both know when @wiseowl get's to work there's no stopping him, he puts the rest of us to shame!

 

On the off chance Apple Blossom has kept them in pots, up to this point in time, do you have any advice on when would be the best time to think about transferring them into the ground and, maybe, how to prepare the ground prior to planting them up? I'm guessing there may still be time to add some organic matter to the soil - but these hard frosts we're having may make digging soil quite difficult? - or do you suggest waiting until the ground warms up a bit? Likewise with digging them in: the ground is very hard (again, due to the frosts), so would it be wise to wait a little, say, early Spring?

 

Indeed! I'm thinking of hiring him for two hours ... just because I know he'll do 8 hours work in those 2 hours it would take a teenage to complete!!

 

It won't be long now @wiseowl and then you'll be putting us all to shame again with the amount of energy you put into it.
