The Camera In My Pocket 2023/24

For the moon, I like a lot of detail, so I use a slightly smaller aperture. This is the recent harvest moon, but I just missed the partial eclipse, some is just visible in the upper right corner. Settings: f8, 1/100, ISO 150.

 

The autumn leaves are getting to be past peak, but still beautiful.

Foliage here where I am started colouring up at around the usual time [early September] but stalled a bit - probably because it's been so warm, so the rough weather recently has meant there's still plenty of foliage on the trees. Some are still just getting going properly. It's my favourite time of year.
We're often just getting to enjoy it all when the winds/rain remove everything though. We rarely have much foliage left on trees by about the first week of November.

 

This season was the best in several years, and the wind and rain did not take the leaves down too soon.
