Haha, yeah until they start eating stuff other than the grass! Then I suspect it'll be a rather large Sunday lunch!

@latimer lovely to see the photo of Latimer House. My aunt used to live in Penn, and I remember as a child the tall chimneys of Latimer House.

A beautiful day on the island of Tiree on Saturday. One of the days when it lived up to its name of the sunshine isle.

That’s a fantastic view @Scotmac. (Your photo would make a good entry in this month’s photography competition!)

The replacement for our local news last Monday[?] was a repeat of an episode of Sean's Scotland, the tv series he did a while ago - he's the usual weatherman on STV news. It was the one from Tiree, and I'd seen it before, but it was far more enjoyable than the news anyway!

          Lovely pic :)

@fairygirl I know the episode you mean. I have relatives in it. At least it would have been more positive than most news stories. :)

How lovely @Scotmac . Yes- a lovely episode. Plenty of sun and blue sky, and that beautiful sea
...and yes- definitely more positive than the news!

Autumn has arrived in New York, the gold autumn light makes for some beautiful sunsets, further complimenting the foliage. Image taken at second pond, Grafton Lakes State Park, Grafton, NY.

Beautiful @hydrogardener. The autumn light is always rather special I think.
We've had some lovely sunrises and sunsets here recently, but it's hard to get a decent pic as there's also a lot of mature trees in the way, and other properties.
I liked this one I took at the end of September from my kitchen window, at about 7.00 am

and I caught this one of the moon in mid September at about half 7 in the evening

Thank you @hydrogardener. The aerials slightly spoiled the look, but it was quite atmospheric, if a little Hitchcock-ian!
I was lucky with the moon shot. It's always hit and miss with those. I know there's some faffing you can do to get them properly, but I can never remember how to do it.

Just went to get another cup of tea, and the kitchen was full of the pink glow from another sunrise. Only one crow sitting on a rooftop aerial this time.

For the moon, I like a lot of detail, so I use a slightly smaller aperture. This is the recent harvest moon, but I just missed the partial eclipse, some is just visible in the upper right corner. Settings: f8, 1/100, ISO 150.

The autumn leaves are getting to be past peak, but still beautiful.

Gorgeous photos @hydrogardener . Foliage here where I am started colouring up at around the usual time [early September] but stalled a bit - probably because it's been so warm, so the rough weather recently has meant there's still plenty of foliage on the trees. Some are still just getting going properly. It's my favourite time of year.
We're often just getting to enjoy it all when the winds/rain remove everything though. We rarely have much foliage left on trees by about the first week of November.
